Do you feel left out when it comes to using a computer? Do you want to learn the basics but just don’t know where to begin? The Adult Education Program at Pellissippi State Technical Community College is providing a series of free classes designed just for you. Computer Skills for Beginners is for people who barely know how to turn on a computer. The class teaches students computer terminology, word processing, how to use the Internet and send e-mail, and how to create and use simple spreadsheets. Classes meet three hours, twice a week for three weeks at most sites. Class size is small, so there is a lot of hands-on attention and plenty of time to practice new skills. The class and all materials are free, but space is limited. For more information or to register, call (865) 694-6454. Class schedules and locations through June 2008:
